Bob played great solos on KISS related albums. However, "Rocket Ride" by Ace Frehley is the most played song from side four of KISS Alive II. And, Ace Frehley's solo album is better and sold more than Paul Stanley's solo album. Paul thought he was going to teach Ace a lesson with his solo album and he didn't. Ace had the better producer, Eddie Kramer. And sonically Ace's solo album sounds much better. In spite of Bob's killer guitar on Paul's solo album.

If you are a session man, you get paid scale and that is it. Even if you contribute to a tune, create a lead, it makes no difference. Very seldom have players been credited on records, PIR was one of the few that did this, and Gamble and Huff never had to do it, they just did. If the Wrecking Crew members had gotten songwriting credits on tunes they played on, they all would have been billionaires. The absolute worst offender of screwing your players was James Brown. He put his name on everything, alone (except with Bobby Byrd who wouldn't put up with the practice), even if the band completely came up with the groove, the licks and the lines made no difference. Everything was written and produced by James Brown. That was and is the business, if you don't have it in writing and only work with knowledge your get equal part you are screwed.

I saw Yngwie live on the Trilogy tour and he is absolutely one of greatest guitarists ever… that said I think that his backing musicians/bands have usually been subdued- to be polite, like a prop and even the singer. But as I remember his keyboard player Jens occasionally had a solo and a little light on him 👍

I'm crying here .. I grew up in and around the music business in Los Angeles .. with almost every story about the early days of Crue, Poison, Shark Island, GnR, RATT, the swinging doors auditions for Ozzy, the hundreds of cassette tapes, vinyl, beta & even laser disc submissions for the Kiss gig, I was there .. I auditioned for Ozzy .. I knew Randy from before he played with Lita so he was genuinely surprised and happy to see me walk in .. Phil & I still stop and talk for awhile when I see him at NAMM .. I auditioned for Kiss .. Jaine said I was too neoclassical(but they respond when I call so I made a friend I met a LOT of the musician's in ALL these documentaries and I know a LOT of other SCHYTE about what these beloved Rock Stars have done to up & coming brilliant players .. I know PERSONALLY(and still stay in contact with,) musicians that were totally fokked over by these clowns S.O. / W.D. / K.F. and all the other members of the secret little club of hagglers and dream killers. W.D. STILL OWES V.C. a TON of $$ .. but whatever, Joe & the Leppard Familia love Viv and they pay him FAR more than W.D. Could Ever afford to pay him .. PLUS .. the Leppard fam treats Viv like a brother and an equal I know this FIRST HAND .. I'd like to believe that karma is absolutely real and if it is, then why was W.D. plagued with financial conflict, dark rumors behind the scenes in Hollywood and the subsequent death of her cash cow while Leppard are still selling out stadiums all over the world?!?!?!? The fans still Love & Support them in spite of the setbacks the tragedies they've experienced as a family?
